The Scout Group is setting up shop in town for two weeks to recruit both new members and adult volunteers to the Scout Association.  From this Saturday 10th September, we are taking over one of the shops on Pinstone street currently closed for the Sevenstone redevelopment.

The shop is kitted out to show the types of activities that Scouts do such as climbing, abseiling, surfing and kayaking.  Information will be available on how to join in with the Scouting fun. There is also a bouldering wall in the shop for anybody to pop in and have a go plus videos of activities and a message from the Chief Scout, Bear Grylls.

Explorers help St Luke's Starlight walk : May 21st

Scouts pack bags at Waitrose to raise over £1000 for MacMillan

Thank you to all the Scouts, Explorers and Leaders who helped with the bag packing at  Waitrose to raise over £1000 for McMillan.  Much needed money was raised for the charity and also helped the Group in its centenary year activity of community volunteering. We have been complimented by both McMillan and Waitrose on how helpful and  well behaved all our young people were – so well done to you all.
