Our annual Lads and Dads camp was once again held in the wilds of the Chatsworth Estate.
A busy, action packed weekend of activities which included Off Road Driving, non stop cricket, making things and camp fires was enjoyed by all and 30th anniversary winners were Richard and Will Jones – Well done to them and all who took part.
Please send your pics to firstname.lastname@example.org so we can add to the gallery.
An action packed weekend of fun and adventure.
During the weekend we did loads of activities for the Astronomers badge including building a star globe, gazing at Orien’s nebula, star spotting the major constellations and watching the movie “The Martian”.
We played canal football, went on a night hike to look at the haunted railway and on Saturday we did the orienteering course at Black Rocks.
All the Scouts took part in the national #youshape week and visited the diary room to tell the camera what they want to do while in Scouts. All the activities helped the Scouts pass various parts of the challenge awards – Check out MyScout to see how they are doing on each award.
Weekends away and Summer Camp are the times when we do the most things – miss them and miss out what being in Scouts is all about.
Another weekend packed with fun, challenge and adventure held on the Chatsworth estate. The lads and dads took part in a cycling challenge, a rugby challenge, non stop cricket, built ballistas, built a large camp fire, air rifle shooting, peg and wine bottle challenges and so much more.
The highlight for many on Saturday night was watching the England Wales Rugby match on a large screen sat around the camp fire!
And a big thank you to all the leaders who made the weekend possible – and the the family of Fred May (Former Group Chairman) whose legacy was spent on a new gate into the field.
