22nd – 24th September
Our annual Lads and Dads camp will once again be held in the wilds of the Chatsworth Estate.
The camp is open to Scouts from both Troops and will be an action packed weekend full of fun and challenges for Lads and Dads to do together plus Lads v Dads games and challenges. Although at the end of the weekend we will crown our new champion Lad and Dad, the emphasis of the weekend is on fun. There will time each evening to relax around the fire.
Go to MyScout to sign up and pay for the event.
For safeguarding reasons you will need to complete a DBS Check – the new name for CRB. The form is available here Please get the form to your leader as soon as possible. Once processed you will be invited to confirm which ID documents you will be presenting for checking. After this, you will have to meet with us so we can see the ID and confirm it on the system.
ID : Click here to see acceptable forms of ID
If you have a scout DBS check from last 5 years, this is still valid so no need for the above process. A DBS from another body / employer is not acceptable.

Another weekend packed with fun, challenge and adventure held on the Chatsworth estate. The lads and dads took part in a cycling challenge, a rugby challenge, non stop cricket, built ballistas, built a large camp fire, air rifle shooting, peg and wine bottle challenges and so much more.
The highlight for many on Saturday night was watching the England Wales Rugby match on a large screen sat around the camp fire!
And a big thank you to all the leaders who made the weekend possible – and the the family of Fred May (Former Group Chairman) whose legacy was spent on a new gate into the field.

Lads and Dads Camp : A fantastic weekend for the 15 pairs of Lads and Dads, blessed with some great weather on the Chatsworth estate. We made portable stoves, went caving, drank nettle tea and made mento and coke rockets. Topped off with camp fires and lots of food the camp was great fun and adventure for all. The winners this year were James and Mike Rodgers. If you have more photo’s – please email them so we can share on the website. Big thanks to the EXU members who came and helped cook.

|Splashdown is an annual water activity weekend for Scouts from across Sheffield. There are loads of activities to do including canoeing, raft building and raft racing, windsurfing, archery, mountain biking plus football, cricket and a big disco on Saturday night. We will be camping right on the banks of Rother Valley Country Park and we will be camping and cooking as a group, not in patrols. This weekend is a lot of fun so don’t miss out!|
